Grant and I finally saw Inception on Monday night!
This movie was really really good, I can't believe we waited so long to see it! The entire movie I was glued to the edge of my seat, with my hands over my mouth, just completely amazed. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen for one second for fear I'd miss something!
I think I liked the move so much because of how consistent it was. For such a complex plot, everything pieced together so well and there weren't any gaps or plot loopholes. I also thought all the acting was really really good! Ellen Page did awesome, and I'm so glad she's finally breaking out of her Juno-character.
Anyways, I wish movies like that came around more often!

Weekend Fun
Grant and I had such a fun weekend! On Friday we decided to spend some time and get stuff done, so after I got off work at 1:00 we ate lunch and then went up to campus. I worked on my internship while Grant studied for his finals, and spoke to his mentor.
Side note: My internship has been awesome! I'm so glad it worked it all work out, since I got in touch with the professor and the program pretty late. I'm working with a professor on campus, Professor Norton, who interviews World War II veterans. I'm working on transcribing his interviews and editing them, and I love it. The stories I have been hearing are crazy and so funny, and it's been such a good learning experience too!
So after we studied and worked on stuff we decided to play a bit and went to Khol's and the Mall! Grant got a brand new pair of Reef's sandals, which he's been needing for a while now. Then we met up with Justin and Holly for dinner at Shoots, one of my favorite restaurants in town! After a delicious dinner we went to Humor U on campus (which, I'll be honest, was a disappointment). They were trying out a new kind of show where they played an old movie and just sat on the side and commented on it and made fun of it. I won't be surprised if they continue to do this, because the audience seemed to love it and think they were hysterical. We really didn't like it though. They played 3 different movies, which made it way too long, and their comments were too scripted so it just wasn't that funny. We won't be going to it again, to say the least.
But even though it wasn't a huge success, it didn't ruin our weekend! The next morning, we woke up early and met up again at Magleby's for all you can eat French Toast, which was delicious!! We then headed out for Lagoon!!! Justin and Holly had both been before, but Grant and I hadn't so we didn't know what to expect. I've also heard in the past that it wasn't very fun but I don't know what people are talking about - we had a blast!! We went early enough that the huge crowd hadn't come yet, so we started with the roller coasters and didn't have too long of lines to wait in. It was awesome! We went on almost every single ride, including the water ones. We didn't actually go into the water park though because around mid-day it started to rain and lightning. It wasn't too bad though so we waited it out and went back to the car to eat lunch. By the time we were done it had stopped raining, and most of the crowd had cleared out! We rode even more rides, and went to the Acrobatic show they have going on, which was great! We went early to the show so we got great seats and the show was really incredible - I don't know how those people do it!
I wish we had taken pictures of our day at Lagoon since it was so much fun, but we didn't really have cameras or our phones on us. We were there such a long time - we got there around 10:30 and stayed until 9:30pm! After the park we went to The Pie in Salt Lake for dinner, and then drove home.
And because we didn't get to sleep until late, Grant and I decided it would be a good idea to sleep in and go to Justin and Holly's ward at 2:30, which is exactly what we did. Our ward is at 10:40, so we usually get out around 2. And it was quite different (and great) to be able to sleep in until 1:30! I don't remember the last time I was able to do that.
It was a fantastic weekend and I just don't know what we're going to do next year, when Grant and I move, without Justin and Holly! We're already making plans for Justin and Grant to go to the same grad school so Holly and I can plan playdates for our kids and still be able to call them up all the time to hang out! Hopefully things will work out and we'll all stay really really good friends :)
