Trip to the Copper Mine

Last weekend the weather was beautiful and Grant and I didn't have any definite plans, so we figured it would be a great time to go up to the copper mine. Grant's been wanting to go for as long as I've known him, but it's always been one of those things you just talk about randomly, and never actually plan.

Well we went and had a great time! The mine is much more interesting than I was expecting and because it was such a beautiful day, it was really fun to drive up there and see how massive it is and watch the process.

At the lookout point:
You can't see it from the pictures, but the trucks that brought the copper back and forth were huge.
We learned from the video that these trucks were as big as a fleet of semi-trucks. So it would make sense that the tires would be massive, which they were.
And it was fun to be able to lookout over the part of the mine where they are currently digging. The mine itself is really crazy looking.
If you haven't gone, definitely go! It's worth the trip.

they probably told you this at the mine, but mines are initially created by earthquake fault lines. so, that's what created this thing (at the start, humans made it much, much bigger)
